A few months back, I packed up and headed south to visit my sister in Nashville for a long and crazy weekend. Since her move to TN, visiting my sister has been a blast for me. Even parking it at a coffee shop and sipping on something creamy and delicious (preferably dairy free for the sake of us all) at one of the cute little coffee shops around is the best day in my book. Its is such an innovative area with creatives everywhere and I love that kind of place.
During my trip, I had a few shoots planned and truthfully feel so blessed by the sweet people and mundane moments I got to capture. I met Kerry and Rachyl Degman through our mutual friend, Brooke and was so excited when it lined up to capture their family as the sun set this fall. Their son, Wolfgang is such an adventurer so you better believe we had a blast running up and down the stairs at Edwin Warner Park, jumping off rocks and every boys dream, getting dirty. I love the kind of people you meet and feel like you’ve always known and that’s exactly what I experienced with the Degmans. Their authenticity and heart for genuine conversation was something special and I’m grateful that this night and session fell into place.
Check out the Degmans and their newest adventure on CMT on their newest adventure and show, Music City, Thursdays at 10pm and a few of my favorite images from our session together!
